The jury issued the following statement in support of their decision:
"It doesn’t happen often that we have an author capable of equally high-quality execution of all elements of a book. Uroš Savić, without technological extravagance but with design appropriateness and consistency, shaped his own text and excellent illustrations into a book that feels mature, attractive, and complete. We are holding a book with no production compromises or flaws — a book we believe in."
